Hikvision DeepinView is Hikvision's flagship AI camera line — the range UK installers reach for when a job needs more than motion detection: face capture, ANPR, people counting, PPE detection and large-model analytics running at the edge, on the camera itself. This guide walks through every DeepinView camera we hold in stock at Netview — what each model actually does, where it earns its keep on a UK site, and which AI NVR to pair it with. If you fit CCTV for a living and a client has asked for "proper analytics", this is the range that delivers them.

What is Hikvision DeepinView?
DeepinView is Hikvision's top-tier deep-learning camera series: each camera carries embedded AI algorithms that detect, classify and analyse objects and events at the edge, without a server doing the heavy lifting. Hikvision groups the range into switchable-intelligence, dedicated-intelligence and scenario-specific models (Hikvision DeepinView series overview). On the scenario-specific 8-line cameras, several deep-learning algorithms live in one unit and up to two can be enabled or scheduled at a time, then switched as the site's needs change (SecurityWorldMarket). The newest generation, DeepinViewX, moves up again to Guanlan large-scale AI models — Hikvision quotes person/vehicle detection ranges up to 120 m for DeepinViewX cameras, roughly triple what conventional AI cameras manage in mixed conditions (Hikvision).
DeepinView vs AcuSense: which AI tier does the job need?
The short answer: AcuSense filters false alarms; DeepinView produces business data and task-specific detections — and most estates need both, in different positions. AcuSense cameras classify humans and vehicles so patios, foxes and headlights stop triggering the NVR — ideal for the bulk of domestic and light-commercial channels, and covered in our Hikvision camera buyer's guide. DeepinView is what you specify for the two or three positions per site that need a defined analytic outcome: a face-capture camera on the entrance, an ANPR bullet on the gate, a fisheye counting footfall on the shop floor. If the deliverable in your quote is a report or an access event rather than a recording, it's a DeepinView position. For Turbo HD estates, the equivalent AI story is in our AcuSense DVR guide.
Face capture: iDS-2CD7546G0-IZHS(C) 4MP motorised dome
The iDS-2CD7546G0-IZHS(2.8-12mm)(C) is the stocked DeepinView face-capture workhorse: a 4MP DarkFighter dome whose deep-learning engine detects, tracks, grades and selects the best shot of each face that passes, then outputs it with attribute data. Hikvision pairs the face algorithms with 140 dB WDR and DarkFighter low-light processing, so capture keeps working against glass-fronted receptions and backlit doorways, in an IP67, IK10 vandal-rated housing (Hikvision product page). The 2.8–12 mm motorised lens lets you frame a doorway from a ceiling position at commissioning time rather than up a ladder. Fit it face-on to the approach, as close to head height as the fabric of the building allows, and give it an even light source — face capture is an optics job first and an AI job second.
DarkFighter AI domes: iDS-2CD7126G0-IZS
The iDS-2CD7126G0-IZS is the low-light specialist of the stocked range: a 2MP DeepinView DarkFighter internal dome that trades pixel count for sensitivity and clean night-time detail. Two lens options are on the shelf — the 2.8–12 mm motorised version for foyers, corridors and general internal cover, and the 8–32 mm version for long sight-lines: warehouse aisles, station platforms and car-park entry lanes where the target sits well beyond a fixed-lens camera's comfortable reach. Both carry DeepinView perimeter analytics (line crossing, intrusion, region entrance/exit) backed by deep learning, so a 2MP stream still generates dependable, classified events in light levels that defeat conventional cameras.
360° fisheye with business intelligence: DS-2CD63C5G0-IVS and DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS
One 12MP DeepinView fisheye can replace four conventional cameras and add retail analytics on top. The DS-2CD63C5G0-IVS(1.29mm)(B) and the newer DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS(1.29mm) both give a full 360° panoramic view with built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio. The G1 runs a 1/1.8” sensor at up to 3504 × 3504 resolution with up to 20 live-view display modes across ceiling, wall and table mounts, and its deep-learning suite covers people counting, heat mapping, queue management and intersection analysis — in an IP67/IK10 housing with three independently controlled IR lights rated to 15 m (Hikvision UK spec). For a retail client that means one discreet ceiling unit covering the whole floor, plus footfall and queue data the store manager will actually use.

ANPR bullets: iDS-2CD7A26G0/P and iDS-2CD7A46G0/P
For gates, barriers and car parks, the stocked DeepinView ANPR bullets read plates at the edge and can drive the barrier directly. The 2MP iDS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHSY(2.8-12mm)(C) covers single-lane entrances with short stand-off distances, while its 8–32 mm sibling reaches lanes at a much longer stand-off where the camera must sit well back from the barrier. Where you want plate reading plus a higher-detail overview from the same head, the 4MP iDS-2CD7A46G0/P-IZHSY(8-32mm)(C) is the pick. Camera positioning, lane geometry, allow-list handling and NVR-side search are covered in depth in our dedicated Hikvision ANPR camera guide — read that before you quote an ANPR job, because the mounting position makes or breaks read rates.
DeepinViewX and Guanlan: iDS-2CD7A46G2/LM-IZHSY
The iDS-2CD7A46G2/LM-IZHSY is the newest thinking in the range: a 4MP DeepinViewX moto-varifocal bullet running Guanlan large-model algorithms rather than single-task networks. Guanlan is Hikvision's proprietary suite of large-scale AI models for the AIoT ecosystem (Hikvision Guanlan overview), and in this camera it delivers licence-plate recognition with vehicle attribute analysis (make, model, colour, type and direction), large-model perimeter protection, a built-in PPE-detection model, and the ability to load trained algorithm packages from Hikvision's AI training platform via AIOP. The spec sheet quotes 2688 × 1520 resolution and colour imaging down to 0.0005 lux (Hikvision datasheet, PDF). We stock both the 2.8–12 mm and 8–32 mm UK ANPR versions. For sites like builders' merchants, logistics yards and industrial estates, one camera now covers the gate, the plate and the hi-vis policy.
Seen and heard: DS-QACAM07G1-4LIZSU horn camera
The DS-QACAM07G1-4LIZSU bolts DeepinView detection to an integrated 7 W horn speaker, so the camera that spots the intrusion is also the one that challenges it. It is a 4MP unit with a motorised lens, and it suits yards, forecourts, compounds and any site where the response plan is "warn them off before the keyholder is out of bed". Detection events can trigger recorded warnings, and an operator on the monitoring end can talk down the same speaker live. On sites where you would previously have quoted a camera plus a separate IP horn and PSU, this is one bracket, one cable and one login.

Recording DeepinView: which NVR to pair
DeepinView cameras do the analysing, but the NVR still decides how searchable and expandable the system is — specify an iDS AI recorder. For serious multi-camera estates the iDS-9632NXI-M8/X gives 32 channels of up to 32MP recording across 8 HDD bays with deep-learning smart functions on board, and the flagship iDS-96064NXI-I16(C) Super NVR takes that to 64 channels and 16 bays for campus-scale work. For a smaller commercial job with a couple of DeepinView positions, the DS-7608NXI-K1/8P(D)/Alarm 8-channel PoE AcuSense NVR records up to 12MP streams and adds alarm I/O for gates and sounders. If natural-language search across the recorded estate is on the wish list, see our K/VPro AcuSeek NVR guide — AcuSeek NVRs let the office find "white van, red hoodie" in seconds.

Installation and commissioning tips
DeepinView analytics live or die on positioning, light and firmware — commission them like instruments, not cameras. Frame face-capture cameras head-on to the natural walking line and avoid steep down-angles that turn faces into foreheads. Give ANPR heads a stable, vibration-free mount and keep the plate within the lens's comfortable range rather than digitally zooming. Put fisheyes at the centre of the area they count, and calibrate counting lines on site, not from the van. Keep algorithm performance current by updating cameras from the official firmware portal — our Hikvision firmware hub lists the current builds — and commission analytics through iVMS-4200 where you can see detection zones full-screen. Finish by enrolling the client's app access properly using our Hik-Connect setup and handover guide so the analytics events actually reach the person paying for them.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the difference between DeepinView and DeepinViewX?
A: DeepinView cameras run conventional deep-learning algorithms for tasks like face capture and ANPR; DeepinViewX cameras run Hikvision's Guanlan large-scale AI models, which extend detection range — up to 120 m for person/vehicle targets — and improve accuracy in poor light and busy scenes (Hikvision).
Q: Do DeepinView cameras need a special NVR?
A: No — the analytics run in the camera, so any compatible Hikvision NVR records the streams and events. An iDS AI NVR such as the iDS-9632NXI-M8/X adds recorder-side smart search and richer event handling, so pair one where budget allows.
Q: Can the ANPR models open a barrier without a PC?
A: Yes. The /P ANPR bullets hold an allow-list on the camera and can switch a relay output to raise a barrier for matched plates, with events logged to the NVR. Lane design guidance is in our ANPR camera guide.
Q: Is face capture on the iDS-2CD7546G0-IZHS(C) the same as facial recognition?
A: Not quite — the camera detects, grades and outputs best-shot face images with attributes. Matching those faces against a database is a separate function performed by compatible back-end hardware or software, and it carries UK-GDPR obligations your client must own before you switch it on.
Q: What does the fisheye's people counting give a retail client?
A: The DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS reports footfall counts, heat maps of dwell areas, queue lengths and intersection flows from a single ceiling point (Hikvision UK). That data lands in the client's reporting rather than just their playback timeline.
Q: Are DeepinView cameras overkill for a domestic job?
A: Usually, yes. For homes and small shops, AcuSense cameras deliver the false-alarm filtering that matters at a fraction of the cost — start with our Hikvision camera buyer's guide and reserve DeepinView for positions with a defined analytic task.
