How can I add a 3rd party ONVIF IP Camera to my Hikvision NVR?

You need to select the correct protocol ONVIF or Psia from the list and choose the camera manufacturer. You will need the URL or RTSP stream of the camera.

Via iVMS-4200:

In [Control Panel] make click on [Device Management], select the device and make click on [Remote Configuration] – [System] - [Camera] – [Add] and now you can add the manufacturer, Protocol or RTSP.

Via Internet Explorer:

Once you’re logged in via the IP address of the NVR, click on [Configuration] – [Remote Configuration] – [Camera Management] select camera and click on [Add] and now you can select the manufacturer, Protocol or RTSP.

Via GUI (Graphical User Interface):

In [Live View] mode right-click and select [Menu] – [Camera] – [IP Camera] – [Custom Adding] and now you can select the manufacturer, Protocol or RTSP.
