The core four

SADP

Windows and macOS tool that broadcasts on the LAN to find every Hikvision device, regardless of IP. Used to activate new cameras, change IP addresses in bulk, reset the admin password with a support-generated code, and push firmware one device at a time. See the SADP download and how-to.

iVMS-4200

Free Windows/macOS client — live view, playback, firmware update, event search, remote config for up to 256 devices. The default choice for small-to-mid installations. Deep-dive in the iVMS-4200 hub.

Hik-Connect

P2P cloud service for phone/tablet remote access. Zero router config for small sites. Setup and troubleshooting in the Hik-Connect hub.

HikCentral Pro

Enterprise VMS. Licensed per camera/feature. Site-to-site, video wall, RBAC, audit trails. Quote-only — contact Netview for sizing.

Config and provisioning utilities

BatchConfig — push a common config (time server, DNS, RTSP, stream parameters) to many devices at once. Saves hours on larger commissions.
Hikvision Firmware Update Tool — bulk-flash firmware across many devices. Works best on a flat LAN.
Password Reset Tool — now folded into SADP; kept as a legacy separate tool for older firmware.

Always use the Hikvision EU portal at hikvisioneurope.com for UK installs. Unofficial mirrors and third-party download sites are a common malware vector; avoid them even when a tool is hard to find.
