Overview
The Ajax DoubleButton Jeweller (Ajax 38103, also listed as DoubleButton (8EU) ASP) is a wireless hold-up device for Ajax intruder alarm systems. Two stiff, tightly spaced buttons sit either side of a plastic divider and an alarm is raised only when both are pressed at the same time — a single accidental press does nothing. That makes it safe to carry in a pocket or bag, or to fit under a counter, without the false hold-up alarms that single-button devices can cause.
DoubleButton is active 24/7, whatever the arming mode, and sends a hold-up event to the Ajax app and to the alarm receiving centre (SIA DC-09 or Contact ID). It also supports confirmed hold-up alarms: a short press followed by a long press (or the reverse) on one DoubleButton, or presses on two different DoubleButtons, sends a separate confirmed event. With OS Malevich 2.10 or later the system complies with PD 6662:2017 for UK ARC monitoring.
It talks to the hub over two-way encrypted Jeweller radio at up to 1,300 m in open space, enrols by QR code and runs for up to five years on its pre-installed CR2032 battery.
