Overview

The Hikvision DS-2CD23166G3-I2UY is the 16 MP fixed turret in the Hikvision G3 "Powered by DarkFighter" range — the highest-resolution G3 fixed-lens model in the line-up. The 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor delivers 4608 × 3456 UHD imaging (up to 15 fps at full resolution, 30 fps stepped down to 4K) with 0.0008 Lux minimum colour illumination at F1.6 and 0 Lux performance with IR. Hikvision's DarkFighter sensor and image-signal processing dramatically improve low-light noise and detail retention compared to standard low-light cameras.

Smart HybridSmart Hybrid Light Light combines IR and white LEDs up to 40 m supplement range with intelligent supplement-light switching — minimising light pollution while ensuring usable colour detail at night. 130 dB true WDR captures both bright and shaded areas of high-contrast scenes (back-lit doorways, vehicle headlights, sunset car parks). The Hikvision image-engine offers 3D DNR, BLC, HLC, defog, distortion correction, white-balance adjustment, 4 polygon privacy masks and ROI-aware bit-rate control.

ONVIF Profile S/G/T, ISAPI, SDK and ISUP supply integration with third-party VMS / NVR; first-party Hikvision iVMS-4200 desktop, Hik-Connect mobile and Hik-Central enterprise platforms are fully supported.

The 16 MP turret runs on PoE 802.3af Class 3 (max 10.5 W) or 12 VDC (0.7 A, max 8.5 W) and includes microSD on-board storage up to 512 GB with Auto Network Replenishment (ANR) that fills VMS gaps from local card during network outages. Built-in arrayed dual-microphone captures real-time audio. The metal chassis is IP67 ingress-protected, IK10 impact-rated and NEMA 4X moderate-level anti-corrosion (suitable for coastal areas up to 2 km from coastlines, and acid-rain affected sites). Operating range is -30 °C to 60 °C with humidity ≤ 95% non-condensing.
