EN54Ajax EN54 Fire Protection 1/0 Module (2X2) Jeweller integrates third-party devices into an Ajax system in full compliance with EN 54 standards. With two outputs, the module can enhance emergency response by controlling gates, door locks, lighting, alert systems, and other life safety equipment. Two inputs allow the integration of existing detectors or devices outside the Ajax portfolio, such as beam smoke detectors, elevator control panels, or HVAC systems. Built-in communicators ensure a reliable, long-range connection to the CIE. The module and connected third-party devices can be configured in just minutes via an intuitive Ajax app.

The Ajax EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller is a wireless addressable module with 2 inputs and 2 outputs, certified to EN 54-18 and EN 54-25 standards. It serves as the automation backbone of the Ajax EN54 fire system, enabling integration with third-party fire safety equipment and automated emergency response actions.
Powerful Automation & Integration
The module's two wired outputs can control a wide range of third-party fire safety equipment, including PAVA and VACIE voice evacuation systems, LED emergency exit signage, magnetic door holders, electric locks for emergency exits, elevator access controls, and ventilation shut-off systems. The two wired inputs accept signals from conventional fire detection devices, manual call points, or other third-party sensors, supporting EOL, 2EOL, and 3EOL connection types with comprehensive fault monitoring.
Failsafe Operation
A critical safety feature: if the I/O Module loses communication with the CIE, becomes discharged, or experiences hardware problems, it automatically activates connected output devices. This ensures emergency measures like unlocking fire escape doors or activating evacuation systems remain operational even in worst-case scenarios.
Part of 64 Automation Scenarios
Within the Ajax system, the I/O Module integrates with up to 64 automation scenarios configured through the EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller. Scenarios can trigger complex multi-device emergency responses – for example, simultaneously unlocking exit doors, switching on evacuation signage, and activating the voice evacuation system when a fire alarm is raised.
Reliable Wireless Operation
Communicating via the encrypted Jeweller protocol at up to 1,700 m range, the module requires no cabling back to the control panel. Four pre-installed CR123A batteries provide up to 5 years of operation. Dual tamper protection monitors both surface removal and front lid opening.
