Ajax EN54 FireProtect (Heat) Jeweller – Wireless Point Heat Detector
The Ajax EN54 FireProtect (Heat) Jeweller is a wireless addressable point heat detector certified to EN 54-5 and EN 54-25 standards. Designed for commercial and municipal fire alarm systems, this detector uses two precision thermistors to reliably detect fires through rapid temperature rise or when ambient temperature exceeds a fixed threshold.
Precision Heat Detection
The detector features two built-in thermistors providing dual-mode heat sensing. It supports multiple EN 54 compliant sensor modes including A1R, A1S, BR, BS, CR, and CS, allowing installers to select the optimal detection profile for each environment. This makes it suitable for kitchens, boiler rooms, workshops, and other areas where smoke detectors may produce false alarms but heat detection is essential.
Reliable Wireless Communication
Using Ajax's proprietary Jeweller radio protocol, the detector maintains a secure two-way connection with the EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller CIE at distances up to 1,700 metres in open space. All communication is encrypted with block cipher and dynamic key technology, preventing spoofing and jamming. The system confirms alarm delivery in line with EN 54-21 requirements.
Long Battery Life & Easy Maintenance
Powered by two pre-installed CR123A batteries providing up to 6 years of operation, the detector requires minimal maintenance. Low battery warnings are sent well in advance through Ajax apps and on-device LED/audible indicators. Battery replacement is quick and tool-free via accessible battery covers – no need to remove or disassemble the detector.
Rapid Installation
The detector mounts in approximately 5 minutes using the SmartBracket panel, which allows up to 90° rotation for perfect LED alignment after mounting. Simply scan the QR code in the Ajax app to add the device, assign it to a room and fire zone, and configure settings through the intuitive interface.
