The Ajax EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller is a wireless addressable radio signal range extender specifically designed for EN54-certified fire alarm systems. It expands the wireless network coverage of your Ajax fire detection system, delivering stable, reliable connectivity for EN54 Line devices across large or structurally complex facilities.
Extended Coverage for Large Installations
Each EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller extends the communication range by up to 1,800 metres in open space using the proprietary Jeweller radio protocol. With up to 5 range extenders supported per EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller, a single Ajax fire alarm system can cover facilities of up to 35 km² – making it ideal for multi-storey office blocks, large warehouses, educational campuses, shopping centres, and heritage buildings with thick walls.
Dual Communication Channels
The range extender connects to the CIE both wirelessly (via Jeweller and Wings protocols) and via Ethernet cable, with the wired channel taking priority. This dual-path architecture ensures reliable performance even in the most demanding environments where radio signals face interference from steel structures or reinforced concrete. The Wings protocol handles photo verifications and firmware updates, while Jeweller manages alarms and events.
Versatile Device Support
EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller works with all EN54 Line devices as well as wireless Ajax intrusion protection and automation products. This allows deployment of both standalone fire detection systems and integrated solutions combining fire safety with burglar alarm, visual verification, and building automation – all managed within a single Ajax ecosystem.
Quick Installation & Reliable Backup
Like all Ajax devices, the Fire ReX mounts in minutes using the SmartBracket panel without opening the enclosure. It connects directly to 110–240 V~ mains power and accepts the optional EN54 Internal Battery (24h or 72h) for uninterrupted operation during power outages. Batteries are hot-swappable for maintenance without system downtime.
