Overview
The Hikvision IDS-TCM403-BI(G)/Y/POE/1050 is part of Hikvision's iDS-TCM403 dedicated traffic ANPR family — the high-performance tier built for tolling, congestion-charge boundaries, managed-lane enforcement and traffic-monitoring applications. 2 MP (1920 x 1080) 1/1.8″ sensor optimised for high frame rate and motion-stop performance on moving vehicles.
Plate recognition runs on-camera using Hikvision's traffic-grade ANPR engine, rated at >=99.5% (optimal conditions) accuracy in optimal conditions. The on-device plate library holds 100,000 plates (black/white list) — an order of magnitude larger than the standard DeepinView ANPR tier (10,000 plates), suitable for city-wide tolling and large fleet enforcement databases. Plate regions cover UK, EU, North American and ROW formats, user-selectable.
Vehicle capture speed: up to 200 km/h. Capture distance: up to 70 m. Supplementary IR + visible light-compensation flash deliver clean plate capture at night without overexposing UK retro-reflective plates — a common failure mode for standard IR cameras at tolling sites.
