What is an IP camera?
IP (network) cameras send data over network cable, usually to a network video recorder (NVR). IP cameras are mini-computers, processing compressing & forwarding video information as data. IP cameras can also can also be used independantly as many now come with internal memory card slots for on-board recording, acting as a 1-channel NVR.
